Funcup testing footage @ Donnington
Discussion
First testing of our Funcup race car, trying to get used to the auto blipper on down shifts. Great weather and some really quick cars on track, weather was great albeit a little cold.
The footage after my two fastest laps shows what happens when the alternator works loose and the coolant water starts to blow off onto the rear left tyre. Luckily I spotted the temp before any damage was done!! The rest of the footage is my team mate Chris and new flying team mate Jon.
I'm two seconds off my quickest lap of last year, so plenty of work to do.

Yellow ? whats the new paint job ?
Also what recording device are they using for the video and data ?
There must be the smallest bit of pressure to ensure you dont bin the car when there are 2 other drivers in the team, does it effect your driving at all ? or do you feel like its on the ragged edge every lap ?

Hi Giles, its lime green, with a hint of yellow
Pressure is always on in a team, but its what I like. Now we have a driver who can push us, the pace should pick up. The one thing that did slow me was the new track regs that say if you put more than two wheels over the curbs more than twice your black flagged, day over. I'm used to taking loads of curb, so its about trying to adapt and keep it on the black stuff!! Will be interesting to see how hard they police that one!!
