This being PH, I'll pitch in with an answer that's not the one you're looking for:

You may be able to make a hole in the perspex with a sharp point, such as the point of a dart, or a bradawl, if you twist it round. Put a small piece of electrical insulation tape over the perspex to prevent it slipping.

My brother lives in Up Hatherley - Not on PH, whilst he may have a drill not sure he knows which end to hold it :-)

Why drill holes in your car? No need. Get a few double sided adhesive tape strips and use those to fix number plates to your car. Been doing that for decades now on my cars and no sign of corroded screws with unsightly rust stains developing. Easy to remove too if some poor inconsiderate parker cracks your number plate as happened to one of my cars recently.

If you must have drill holes for your plates, I can help with a drill ... in nearby Gloucester ... wink

My mistake guys its the plate with no holes, the current plates are already screwed in! but for the sake of tidyness, im going to go for sticky pads. Thanks for your responses though!
