After a rather poor start to the year this sunny Sunday has made myself look into putting something together. The basics are still the same. Fairly early start at 9 meeting at Exeter services for a further north kind of vibe (seem to be using the same routes a lot lately so time for a change). The meet will be focusing on driving, with a big route venturing indirectly over some of the uks best driving roads that are not in wales smile expect the route to be up to 3hrs in length so when you arrive at the services fill her to the brim. I am not looping the roundabout outside a hundred times waiting for the unleaded to start flowing like last time lol. There is a choice of either I look for somewhere (I have ideas)for food for those who get up late or you grab an overpriced coffee and breakfast bar from wh smith when you arrive and we get driving. Please just let me know your preference and obviously I will decide for the group wink. We will have a quick get together half way regardless so that we can mock the ones that are at the back and point fingers at all the dodgy over takers. With all that said I believe the last thing you need to know is the date. 30th of March. So anyone who has plans that day scribble them out or if they are immovable then we shall try to compromise. Look forward to seeing everyone there in the glorious sunshine we will no doubt have on the day.

Lee, as you know I don't have the luxury of good mpg, so if you map a route with a shell garage half way, then I'll consider joining in......

Don't forget it's Smeatharpe the weekend before, so not everyone will have funds to do both weekends (and Mother's Day pressies)

Im not sure I fancy a 3 hour marathon drive. I drive 200 miles a day every day of the week.
I might come to the start point and say hi

If you are looking to attract new people, then you might want to modify your tone, you come across as an arrogant tosser. I guess most of it is meant in jest, but already it's clicky and not welcoming. Not for me I'm afraid.

Kind of harsh eek
I have never attended a meet I would call cliquey. I am yet to meet one of the attendees of this one and always try to get round and talk to all. Unfortunately it does become a closer social group here due to it usually being the same faces. That does not mean the person just showing up once a year gets pushed out. Usually the opposite and their car is in the middle. When was the last meet you joined?

Btw I will not be changing my tone. I am not arrogant. Just better than everyone else wink (that's a joke hehe)

Snow in Exeter today. Route is slimmed now a lot we will stop around 10ish for some lunch breakfast at woodleigh coach house which a few may remember. Also we will be finishing up at sourton down for the shell garage. Hope this fits everyone. Any thoughts on just meeting at woodleigh? I know most are coming from a southern direction so may be easier.
