Alloy wheel rim has kerb markings and a couple of deeper gouge

I'm looking for a low cost wheel refurb option in north bristol

Anyone used top gun paintworks in winterbourne as I once had a flyer stating all four alloys for £160

I'm getting my 4 alloys done at Platinum in Swindon for a smidge over £250.

They aren't known for being cheap but the are known for doing a quality job. If you are keeping the car it might be worth considering.

Best of luck.

I dropped a pair of wheels off there yesterday. It's the first time I've used them but have read so many good recommendations that I chose them over some of the more local places.

It's for the Tiv so it's 2 x 15's and 2 x 16’s and I've chosen a Mercedes colour which is Himalayas Grey (a mid colour metallic grey powder coat).

Dropped off on Monday and should be ready Thurs or Frii this week.

Mine are 17" and standard silver. I think they are about £75 each including making them round again, fitting new tyres (I supplied the tyres) and disposing of the old tyres. Paperwork is out in the car though so can't check for you.

Are they any good on email communications
I wander if they can do cheaper options?

Very good with email. All sorted by email so they knew who I was and what I wanted doing when I rocked up on Monday. They rang to say they needed to sort the buckles in the wheels (or un-roundness if it's last night and I couldn't think what the word was).
They're clearly not the cheapest but I don't think the prices are outrageous for a good service. I keep my cars for a long time so I'm happy to pay once for good service. Mind you, they're in Swindon and I'm in Portishead so unless I had spare wheels I could leave there (which I do) I'd look for somewhere closer for convenience.

Just to let you know I picked up my wheels and centre caps today. They look brand new.

Totally recommend Platinum at a Swindon.

Good work

Any before and after?

I've got 19" to sort out with no real budget at the moment frown

I got one of the 19" wheels from my Citroen welded and repaired here. (I only use it as an emergency spare now).

The guys were pleasant and professional to deal with. They send you wheels to their repair facility in Basingstoke.
