Garage/Workshop in Plymouth area
Discussion
My car collection is getting too large for my garage and street, so I'm on the lookout for either a workshop or a barn to rent or share so I can indulge myself and not have to keep moving cars around constantly.
I've looked at a place at Blagdon Meadow in Plymouth, but it's not open hours that would suit me. (Not that I'll be making a racket at midnight - or at any time!)
If anybody has or knows anyone who has anything suitable I'd be interested - contact me on here or via PM.
Cheers

How much space do you need?
There are usually some double garages to rent on Gumtree, or phone theestate/letting agents along Mutley Plain, Smeaton homes had several last time I looked.
If you're prepared to travel and need something larger, then some out of town light industrial units can be surprisingly cheap, about £100-£150/week.
Also try the council...

Another possibility is the ground floor of some of the empty flats and developments. These are asking quite a lot of money, but you'd be surprised at what people will accept to get something in there to look pretty, especially a few nice cars to give some prestige to the block. You'd be on short notice but it is worth a phone call. The problem might be insurance for anything combustable!
If you find somewhere too large, drop me a line and I might want to share.

Thanks for the reply.
My little assortment of cars isn't the sort that's likely to improve an area overly much, unless it was a scrapyard!
I guess what I really need is a barn somewhere, though the Industrial units look ideal, but I couldn't justify £150 a week for one.
Used to have a barn on an old farm a few years ago, but the guy got a bit greedy and upset a few people, A pity, as it was ideal otherwise.
