Anyone on here unlucky and get caught up in the accident?

Mrs Saleen fortunately got through before the road was shut but a couple of her fellow workers didn't fair so well, with the 45min journey from Andover to Warminster taking a little over 2 and a half hours.

I found another one, got stuck on the A38 at Ashburton for over an hour 7.30-8.30 tonight, 4 car accident, red Fiat Punto on its roof.

Usual thing, a woman pulls out of a country lane straight on to the A38 with no speed awareness, car in the lane is doing 70+, bang bang bang, 4 car shunt.

I wouldnt wish it on anyone, but if only they knew how to drive.

It is quite noticeable and quite staggering how driving standards vary so greatly across the country and the SW on the whole would appear to have a higher proportion of these people on the roads, say compared to the Thames Valley/W London. Nothing scientific but just personal observations. Motorway and high speed roads such as the A38 seem to attract the largest proportion of people simply not aware or it would seem capable of driving on roads with national speed limits of 70mph. Riding a bike (petrol engined variety) simply confirmed my worst fears back in the summer.

My god ! another one tonight, in the same place. Ashburton A38

When will the council learn that country lanes should not end with 90degree turns on to duel carriageways.
Yet another christmas numpty crashed today and the tailback was over 8 miles of stationary cars

The A38 is a particularly badly designed road - notably the shell petrol station exit onto sliproad at south brent - utterly loopy

But the pulling out infront of on-coming vehicles isn't limited to female/oap's - had sports bike riders, truckers and tractors all doing the same
