shout Ladies and gentlemen

On a similar format to last years lunch, do we fancy a drive to the Bearslake Inn for lunch on the 8th December ? I havn't rung them yet, but last year you could pick a bar snack or a Christmas lunch, whatever you want on the day.

I will plan a route dependant on who is attending (it will start in Exeter or Plymouth)
Probably meet up at 10.00, go for a drive and then lunch about 12.30/13.00

Last year we had 16 cars and about 20 people.

Post up if your interested and I will formalise things as we go along.
Cheers
Giles

Hate to be a pain, but the 15th would be better, for the G's.

Ill be there!
May have to hitch a ride with someone else for the drive (assuming there is one?)
I am trying to get every last mile out of my (already slipping) clutch.
If i can make it last until Christmas my dad can do it.
Going to get quotes this week, so may have a new one in time.

I'll be there. Having some wheel bearing issues with the Golf so if that's not sorted I'll bring the trusty Passat.

Hi Giles,

Thanks for organising...

We'd be interested but up in Berks on the 7th/8th on another Christmas bash so can't make the Sunday unless it was the evening or late afternoon and we'd pop in on the way home...

I suspect we will be drifting off home about 3pm. Be good to see you if it fits your journey back

Starting to think about a drive route
How about...
10.00 at Homebase Plymouth (Halfords/Ocean/Vospers)
Drive over the bridge & thru the tunnel, then right up to Launceston
Then Holsworthy
On to Hatherleigh
Down to the Bearslake Inn

How long would that take, with a couple of 10 minute stops along the way ???

Subject to the 'normal' Sunday drivers being out in force, i'd say 1-1.5hrs tops, not forgetting the all important fuel stop at Sourton...lol
Perfect route for a drive, best bit will be after Launceston as the roads are generally quieter and good passing possibilities....sorry Giles in advance for eating our dirt!!!!!
