I can't make it but I'll be at the Christmas curry/icekarting event.

If someone organises it

I'll be there, barring things breaking in remote parts of our coroporate empire like they seem to be doing with alarming ragularity at the moment (he said, from deepest Basingstoke).

Oh, and no mad drive to london now either.

Have you bought a cardboard box?

BTW - We can still sort you out a bed in Bristol if you want to get drunk.

On the year planner

Any suggestions for a venue - or am I asking difficult questions too early in the process

Despite my best efforts, no. She sold her flat at the end of last month, so we're renting a large cupboard in Cheltenham for the moment until we can find somewhere that fits our silly requirements for a house. T'was always the plan, it's just happened at slightly less of a leisurely pace than i'd expected.

In the meantime i've been tasked with fitting 4 cars and a large van into our one parking space.

Best ask Bill - he's the ideas man, apparently...

Has anyone tried that Curry House that's in a converted petrol station out past Backwell? I thought that looked interesting. Daz - you know anything about that place?

All I know about the place is that years ago it used to be a Chinese (excellent Kung Pow king prawn).

Well, it's an option. Another option would be the Golden Fleece out at Winterbourne, where we used to meet up, and yet another would be the Raj Bari...

Good call - although they're a bit pricey (small portions too) and for some reason make me a bit "volatile" next day...

Lal Jomi Pavilion on Coldharbour Road better in terms of curry quality... IMO

Agreed about the portion sizes. Quality of food is good though.
Or we can go to Oh! Calcutta. Some awesome things on the menu in some very untraditional surroundings. Pretty much guaranteed to be "volatile" too

Bill has local loyalty to other places - but he is not coming to this one!!

I've tried going there a few times and every one the service has been abysmal. Which is a shame, cos it looks good.

Right, the date's now in the diary. I'll endeavour not to be in London this time...
