Jaguar Specialists - Gloucester Area

The engine in my 3 Litre X-Type self-destructed yesterday - it appears that the bottom-end decided to divorce itself from the top-end leaving bits of engine all over the A46 just outside Warwick....

Anyway, it looks like i have two choices - scrap the car (which i dont want to do) or buy a new/replacement engine.

So far i have had quotes ranging between £1700.00 & £5000.00 (Yes really. Thank you * * F** of Cheltenham) for the supply & fitting of an engine.

The car is currently sitting in a garage in Gloucester who are not Jaguar specialists & who have honestly said that they would possibly prefer not too change the engine due it being a little bit 'high-end'.

Makes a refreshing change for honesty these days!

So does anyone know of a reputable Jaguar specialist in or around Gloucester who will do a good job without ripping me off?

Called Elberton Garage - Roger only does MOT's these days & Elberton also dont do engine changes anymore.

Anyway thank you for the suggestion. Looks like my Jaguar will be off to the crusher this week which will upset up me greatly.
