Hi All,

The OH has 3 days of Locum work next week in Newton Abbot and Exeter and is trying to find somewhere (cheap, as it is paid out of her pocket) to stay with not much luck. Can any of you locals suggest somewhere that would fit the bill? B&B/pubs/homestays etc.

Thanks in advance for anyone able to help.

there's a few B&Bs quite close to St David's Station that are cheap and family run -Fort William, Telstar, Radnor etc. There's a whole cluster of them on the roundabout on St David's Hill opposite The Imperial pub.

Thank you, that's excellent! I was a little bothered that I would book into one which would smell of dope and be run by someone who looks like they're a cast member of "League of Extraordinary Gentlemen".

Ha! Exactly the same standards as mine but unfortunately, as a self employed locum on my own, my profit margin would take a hammering. I'll definitely use that hotel in future though as the rooms look gorgeous and some of the roads around here are fantastic (on the A381 at the moment)
That said, I stayed in a right little pit last night with damp rooms and my chest is still like a drum now.
Will be in Exeter on Friday night having a curry with legendary PHer Vidal Baboon if you're about?
