Anyone stuck on the A30 last night?

On my way out of Exeter last night a white van seemed to be in a hurry out of Alphington Rd and onto the A30 towards the A38.
I left it behind a bit on the sliproad onto the A30 and then it caught up as the lanes split for A38 or M5 and it tailgated me as I rolled off for the long long lefthander onto the A38 towards Plymouth.
I rolled the lollopping old Carina into the curve at just over 40 mph with the van right on my chuff, he stuck with me half way around, then as it tightens slightly to run parallel to the A38 he disappeared completely from my mirror, and there was nothing behind me as I joined the A38.
So, if you were stuck in a queue because some halfwit in a van was wedged in the barrier, sorry.
