There's a bunch of people going from Bristol Motor Club to run the AutoSolo there. Driving sideways in a sea of cones is the way forwards. Bring a car and some gusto if you want a go!

Blimey, a fan club smile Sorry the website is a bit poor presently but it will populate with the car list early next week. So what's on? First, a terrific selection of cars to blag a 5 lap passenger ride in out on the circuit - everything from a Ferrari 458 to an MGB V8 race car with 450BHP. Really, something to grab everyone. Some great drivers too, including Simon Tilling the outright lap record holder and multiple GT champion driving his Aston Martin Vantage V12. Prices from £25 which includes helmet hire and a wall to lean against when you get out after 5 laps.... Like this, but with less emphasis on filming the toilets! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8yFFFM6xI8A

Bristol Motor Club Autosolo - like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Juy3EnCy-Gc except without the dodgy organ music smile Have your mind rearranged by the 'Autosolo Stig' in the Subaru for a miserly £5 or get your own car out on the course with some coaching, 3 timed runs and a shot at stardom on the leaderboard (so long as Dean Dokic isn't present) for £25ish.

Admission £5, gates open 08:30 and runs from 09:00 to 17:00 but come early for the best choice of rides. 100% of monies raised go direct to the Stroke Association charity on the day.

Always willing to talk to anyone who has the skills and an exceptional car to run on track so PM me and of course always need more volunteer helpers to run the event.

A really big thank you to loyal PHers who support us year in, year out and a warm welcome to those coming for the first time. See you there!

Forgot to say... every year I get suspended for posting on too many forums at once! Could folks please help out by posting on TVRs if you post there (just remembered, we have Neil Garner in his full race Chimaera out on track) or wherever else you can to spread the word.

Cheers!

Just this minute received confirmation that James Weaver will be our Star Guest driver. James has won the Daytona 24h, been runner up at Le Mans, runner up in BTCC and drove for Jordan when it was an F3 team.

See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Weaver_(racing_...

The opportunity to be driven by a driver of this calibre and experience only rarely comes around. Don't miss it.

James will be driving a Hartge BMW M3 courtesy of Birds Ultimate BMW Performance for which we are extremely grateful.

The Supercar Saturday tasty cars thread.. the Neil Garner Performance TVR Chimaera with a very, very large number of V8 type horses under the bonnet:

So, who's got the bottle for this then? Oh yes, you reckon? And if it's wet?

Robin Davies in the superlative ASBO Mark 2 at Supercar Saturday 2012, gobbling Porsches like so many Smarties. But ever so neat and tidy with it. He will be with us again for 2013. Top man.

Motorbreath - to take a crack at the Autosolo in your own car, you need to take... your own car. And £25 which is £5 at the gate and £20 to enter the Autosolo. For this you can spectate round the main circuit all day, have full paddock access and get a passenger ride with the 'Autosolo Stig' round the course before doing your 3 timed runs to see if you can top the leaderboard. You can buy extra runs for a bit extra.

Plus of course, access to around 50 cars to buy a ride in starting from £20 out on the main circuit.

Chav - yep, there will be two Drift Demos, one morning and one afternoon put together by FCM Motorsport. Six cars in all, including the two you talked about. You can get a passenger ride with these guys if you're mad enough smile

Don't worry about the weather, there's plenty of dry places to be. Tavern cafe open all day, the Strawford Centre and the Bristol Motor Club marquee at the Autosolo. Merlin Motorsport open all day too.

More pics of another car taking part, the MGB GT V8 full race of Ollie Neaves smile

Right, brace yourselves, here is the DRAFT car list provided here (first) on the basis that all cars drivers and even the circuit itself are 'subject to availability'. Remember, all these drivers are volunteers. So here goes:

As with all the cars, the Lambo is on track subject to passing a noise test and yes, you CAN drive it up and down on the road outside the circuit flat stick all day quite legally, but you CAN'T drive it on a motor racing circuit if it's a bit noisy.

Still talking to more people and expect to exceed 50 cars on track. Another 6 cars will provide a Drift display morning and afternoon and you can get a ride in those too. Plus of course the Bristol Motor Club Autosolo and at least 4 club displays and a few odds and ends like a display of KTM MX Bikes if you like orange things with knobbly tyres. There are rumours of a professional Grid Girl as well bit I can't confirm or deny these.

Look, get your backsides down here and have some fun with cars. If you want to help us, please pick this up and post it about a bit... in other PH groups, on Facebook, Twittle-Twottle, Myspace, whatever, just get some people along. Thanks!!! And here's another car for you:

And yes, that is the James Weaver who won the Daytona 24h, was on the podium at Le Mans, runner up in BTCC and who is a general purpose motorpsort legend. And you can get a ride with him, if you turn up early and buy a ticket quick sharp.

PLEASE explain it to me if you think you can find a better way to spend your Saturday and a few measly quid!
