Ive noticed that these cameras are popping up around bristol this one is on coronation rd by the roundabout .There is also some at the 3 lamps junction and also avon street .Wot do you think they are and as tax payers im sure we have paid for them so should no

They looks scarily similar to congestion charge cameras....

the quoted locations would fit with the possible edges of a congestion zone.

That's all we need more expensive if you drive a car and happen to have to go into these zones .They may not become live untill they have built the arena by temple meads .now this will cause many problems for the company I work for as we travel on these all week

A little bit out of the area but.....I saw some new cameras being erected on the A303 eastbound coming up to the new roundabout at Stonehenge......any ideas ??

I noticed something similar next to the bath road P&R that have just been installed coming into Bristol.

My thought too. I have heard rumours of a planned bypass of that area long term. Maybe they are collating data to make a stake for/against a bypass?

It's a bit more than that....and yes it is definitely happening.

Major works down Cumberland road and the roundabout in the photo. Continuing up past St Mary Redcliffe and on into the centre. IIRC the roundabout in the photo is going to have another lane added to it as is the road opposite (above the river if that makes sense)

I have seen these camera's bottom M32 by Cabot circus??
