Hi fellow PistonHeaders!
Right, let me start with a quick introduction. My name is Tom Phipps, I live in Devon and I am 16 years old. I am a massive car enthusiast and also a keen photographer. I have recently started a photography course at college, and one of the assignments is to organise some photoshoots of our preference. So I would like to combine both of my interests, and do some photoshoots with your cars!
So far, I have only taken photos at shows like Wilton Supercars and Classics at the Castle, but I really want to spread out and maybe turn my hobby into more of a job. I am planning a small photoshoot with my friends brothers car soon, just as a quick starter to set up all of my kit, but after then I would like to move onto meeting new people and getting known in the world of photography. My personal favourite photos can be seen on my Flickr page ( www.flickr.com/photos/dabofthebrake ), which is what made me first think that I would like to do photography as a job. Since I started the Flickr two years ago, I have gained well over 1,000 contacts and my latest photos are usually viewed 1,500 times or more. My photos have also been used on Yahoo, and also other large websites across the world.
If you would like a photoshoot done with your car, whether you own a £250 Fiesta or a £250,000 Lamborghini, just write a post in this forum, or just send me a quick message and I will contact you back! For now, I am willing to do the photoshoots for free, but if you would like a photo to be printed off, then a small charge will be asked for to cover the printing costs, as right now I am looking for a professional printer, so I would have to go to a shop to have it correctly printed off.
Thank you for your time and I hope to hear from some of you soon!
Tom
ETA- I recently started a Facebook page for some of my non automotive photography. If you could give in a like that would be brilliant as it shows me how many people are enjoying my work and it make me work harder and harder to please all of you! www.facebook.com/tphippsphotography

Best of luck with your efforts, Tom. Photography is a route I'd have loved to have gone down once upon a time.
I'd offer up any one of my fairly boggo cars, but I'm on the opposite end of the SW to you - Swindon - so am unlikely to be a viable candidate.
Do post up your efforts here for us to view too.

Hi. Good pics.
What area of Devon are you in ? We tend to organise alot of meets & get togethers around the Plymouth, Exeter, Dartmoor area. Had one last week with 35 people & 20+ cars, Erni's Lambo came along that I see youve shot before.
Would be a good opportunity for you to capture many cars in good locations

Thank you everyone so much for your replies! I'll message you all in a second, but I would just really like to thank you!
I live in the Holsworthy area, but spend most of my time in Bude, so places like Dartmoor and Exeter really aren't that far from me!
And also, I can't drive yet, but in a year or so I will hopefully have passed my test so I will be able to travel further and do more shoots for people!
Thanks!!! Tom
ETA- I've just messaged you all. I hope it has worked, but my Internet is being a bit slow so I'm not certain. If you haven't got the message than just say here and I'll work out how else to message you!

Good luck chap
At the risk of being condescending, as a lecturer in a 6th form college I have to say that you write woth maturity and with very good grammar/use of English, which is very refreshing. I shudder to think how many of my current groups of 16 year olds could express themselves so eloquently.

Good man,
I'd like to take you up on it mate, but might be a couple of weeks before I get a chance to get up that way! I'm near Plymouth.
Will be in touch.
I'd be very happy to shoot your cars mate! I'm not sure when I can do the shoots right now as I've funnily enough just been given a photography assignment from my Sixth Form! I'll work around my work and everything else, and hopefully we can meet up for a proper shoot! Thank you very much! I am one of those people that corrects others for saying 'your' instead of 'you're' and loads of other little things! I take my time when writing things as it definitely makes a good impression and it looks a lot better than all of this text speak! At the risk of being condescending, as a lecturer in a 6th form college I have to say that you write woth maturity and with very good grammar/use of English, which is very refreshing. Yeh go on then. Would be nice to have some proper photos of my car done rather than ones from my phone and basic photography. Let me know what info you want and places, if there close enough I will get down there
Sure thing mate! If you could email me, then I'm sure we'll be able to work things out! Edited by DABofTHEbrake on Wednesday 2nd October 18:22

I couldn't agree more, very refreshing indeed. Also Tom has emailed me and again comes across with a great deal of maturity, he sounds like a nice lad so hopefully will get some good responses from people on here!At the risk of being condescending, as a lecturer in a 6th form college I have to say that you write woth maturity and with very good grammar/use of English, which is very refreshing. There's a chance of a few interesting cars at the Poltimore House show on Sunday, weather shouldn't be too bad either.
I might take the GS up, although it seems the daily driver Carina is old enough to qualify for display. I wonder if there's a prize for "most lived in car"
Dammit, I'm planning to meet up with mates to do this photography assignment at the weekend! Grr! If you want, I could shoot your car separately for you? I'll enquire about becoming an event photographer for that next year! I might take the GS up, although it seems the daily driver Carina is old enough to qualify for display. I wonder if there's a prize for "most lived in car"
Thanks!
