New speed limit - A4175 between Oldland Common and Bitton

Anyone driven along the A4175 between Oldland Common and Bitton recently? It seems to have a 30 limit southbound and a 40 limit northbound!

Has some joker span around a 40/30 limit sign through 180 degrees?

The southbound "40" sign (backed with "30" for northbound traffic) that was in place between Chequers Close and St. Anne's Drive, south of Oldland, has been removed (and there are new "NEW 30MPH SPEED LIMIT IN FORCE" signs), but the northbound "40" just north of the A431 is still in place.
