Drift & Drag 12th October - Smeatharpe, Nr Honiton
Discussion
It would be good if we can get a good group of us together. I have a feeling that this could be the last event they hold. I don't think it was supported well enough last time and I doubt they'll continue to hold these events if they can't cover costs, better still make a profit.
Lets hope weather is kind.....

That looks like a good first event to put the impreza through its paces.
Does anyone know if you have to pre book or is it on a first come first serve basis on the day?
No need to book, just turn up, scrutineering check your battery isnt loose !! and then off you go, as many runs as you want.Does anyone know if you have to pre book or is it on a first come first serve basis on the day?
The last one was quiet & you could just run every 5 minutes, other times it has been a 20 minute queue
I will be at Ex services for 8.45-9.00 but I will be meeting a couple of Mitsubishi guys and heading to the Regency rally near Shepton. 10x daytime & 2x night stages being raced, 66 entries incl Audi quattro, cossies, escorts, evo's & sccobies of course.
I'll defo make the next one at Smeatharpe in Nov.

Jason, your car is most defiantly made mostly of chocolate!!!
The bloody exhaust manifold is for sure. Still, managed a few 2 min 10 laps of Oulton before it went, so happy enough with that for first time ever been there.Weather started off wet but by late morning turned dry and sunny. Was really busy, loads of cars and bikes doing the 1/4 mile.
My mad brother in law was doing the 1/4 miles on his blackbird. 133mph on semi dry surface! Wot a nutter, anyway he was pleased when he came 3rd overall in the bikes.
Some very interesting kit cars running motorbike engines.
All in all a good day, will look forward to the next one on 16tg November
