Not being on my home turf, is it feasible to think that if I leave Bridgwater at 0730, I'll be able to be in central Bristol (specifically Silverthorne Lane - sort of behind Temple Meads station) at 0830?

And what's the best way from the M5? A38 or A370? Or...?

You will be very lucky to do that trip in an hour unless you are on a bike, more like 1 hour 20 mins by car. The A38 all the way from Bridgewater I would think is your best bet and getting across Temple meads can be a mare that time of day. A little local knowledge would help with a few short cuts though.

I know it's a PH crime, but train is the way, possibly drive to WSM and train from there?

There's a station at Worle, just off the motorway roundabout and from there a fast train should be about 25-30 mins to T Meads

Example - 0744 from Worle gets to TM at 0809

Stress this is not from personal experience as I head the opposite way to Exeter and leave at 6am, returning at 4pm so miss the majority of that traffic cr*p!
