need some help from the bude locals. me and two mates are coming to bude next thursday to attend a stag do on the weekend. we are coming down a day early to go out for a few drinks to catch up etc before the organised stag do on the friday (not the usual rowdy affair, large villa and boat booked for sea fishing). is there many bars or much nightlife in the area? where would be the best place to stay? don't mind camping or getting a caravan for the night but don't want to push the budget for a hotel. we are early 30's. am i likely to find anywhere for one night or will we end up sleeping in the cars?
any help appreciated.

Plenty of b&bs as well and their are other camp sites theirs one on the way out of Bude towards Widemouth on your right has toilets showers etc walking distance to town called upper lynstone

It's very busy here at the minute. Bay view has been heaving the past few weeks and most places fully booked for food. Can't get a takeaway very quickly either. Best bet is a b&b up near to sainsburys. Nice bar there too at "the beach" at bude too. River life bistro and the bank do good food as do life's a beach but you must book. A new place called he hebasca has just opened and heard good things. Travelzoo were doing deals on rooms. As far as bars go there's a couple. Bar35 is good and rogue sports bar bearable. Pubs everywhere but avoid the globe.

I hope I saw this in time and you meant Thursday 5th September!
I'll be in Bude for most of my time from Thursday as college once again begins on that day!
There is a few locations I know of, although the night life down here is pretty poor! The Beach at Bude is very good and the Falcon Hotel is a nice place to spend an evening, and then stay the night. It is also straight off the beach, so a BBQ in the on Summerleaze evening seems to be a very popular choice! (There is often things going on at Summerleaze, like surfing, etc. and I've seen some Stag Parties joining in!)
As has been previously mentioned, Hebascus seems to have some really good ratings, as does Life's a Beach (thats a sea food only restaurant if I remember rightly!).
The Bencoolen Inn is also pretty good, but it may be pretty busy outside as they are doing major roadworks at the moment.
There are also loads of camping areas near by. There's a caravan park down the bottom of the hill in Widemouth Bay (a couple of minutes drive up from Bude) and, on the way there is countless bars and pubs.
Hope this helps and I caught you in time!
