Hi Guys

Apologies it's taken a while to provide an update on this - have been getting some good prizes together for the raffle and a few finer details sorted.

Mudskipper - thanks for the offer of digging out the old route - that would be great but we will need to modify the final stages as we will end up at a pub that is prepared for the arrival of a load of petrol heads on a Sunday afternoon at peak time! Really hope you guys can make it and help keep us all together on the day - wouldn't be the same without you smile Are you able to mail the route to my personal e-mail address or the address given below?

Thanks again to Paul Garlick for permission to post details on Piston Heads.

Look forward to seeing those of you who can make it on the 8th!

Andy & Angie

Just bumping this to the top.

Would like to come along, just waiting to see if I can get a co-pilot to join me. Sadly the MX-5 is not a good tunnel car but you can't have everything smile (at least I can put the roof down so I can hear everyone elses well)

Hi All

Thanks for your responses so far & all welcome so don't worry about the car - just come and enjoy the day! cool

Will be in touch soon with details - will also be an opportunity to take part in an auction - some great driving experiences for adults and kids from Karting to a days racing with tuition in a Radical SR1.

Do please take part everyone - the more the merrier and will be great to see a convoy of cars going through the streets of Bristol again!

Cheers all

Hi you guys

A quick update on a couple of things:

Following feedback we're likely to alter the start time and the final destination. The Auto Italia is taking place in Bristol on the same day so it makes sense to give those of you with Italian cars the opportunity to register your place there, come along on the run and then head back to Queen's Square so you can have a squizz at the event.

I'll post a final update early next week. Take up starting to get much better so we have a few definites but many of you waiting to see what the weather is like - glad Andy will be driving the TVR if it's wet mad I'll be playing it safe in the Fiat Coupe!

I'll also post details of our 'Grombay' site. Got some fantastic stuff on there that you can put in bids for if you so wish. Not all car related but key car stuff includes a visit to the Caterham F1 Factory with hospitality and an opportunity to meet Heikki Kovalainen in person, a 2013 Red Bull cap signed by Seb Vettell and karting tuition for adult & child - not any karting experience! This invovles tuition from Leon who taught Lewis, Jenson & Max Chiltern.

Really looking forward to meeting you guys on the day

Andy & Angie

Hi All

Final arrangements for the Gromit Tunnel Run this Sunday are set out below for info:

Start at Queens Square with registration at 10.00am – aiming for an 11.00am start.
Please look out for the following cars where you can pay your donations, get your prize draw tickets and details of the route:
Red Fiat Coupe 20vt – S98 DHW
Turqoise TVR Chimera – L119 BVP
Will return to Queens Square at the end of the run so you have an opportunity to visit Auto Italia
Prize Draw will take place at Queens Square at 4.00pm. Don’t worry if you can’t make it – we will ensure you get your prizes to you so please make sure you give us the correct contact details!

As promised, below is the link to the ‘Grombay’ site where you can bid for some great items, not all car related and more will be added shortly so please keep an eye on the website if you’re interested.

Thanks to those of you that have registered your interest. We’re really looking forward to catching up with you on the day.

This really is a worthwhile cause with the money going toward the Wallace & Gromit appeal. This year they are focusing on raising money to build better family facilities for children suffering with cancer so that their families can stay with them. It will also ensure that they have ensuite bathrooms to allow for some privacy and dignity as they are undergoing their treatment.

Your support is extremely welcome and very much appreciated.

Cheers

I should be there.
Not sure if I'm going to have a chance to clean Cyril before hand so I may end up hiding him in a corner somewhere as he's plastered in bugs from my trip to Lincoln.

Can we get a list on here of PHers who are going? ADC is also on the same day in the square so it's likely to be very busy.

Just got back from this after taking the long way home smile

Many thanks to Andy & Angie for arranging all this. We had a great morning and the noise in the tunnels was terrific. It's a shame you had a lot of no-shows as it was for a great cause. Nice to see so many different cars and bikes in Queens Square too; the Ducati 916 looked stunning as did the black M5 V10 - sounded lovely too. Loved the Capri 2.8i Special as well...and the 911's and the Challenger...I could go on but I won't!

Thanks again.
