For a while I have been thinking about buying my first TVR in early(ish) Chimaera 400 form. I really want a V8 in my life and the next couple of years present a possible window for me to bite the bullet.

The thing is, I'm basing all my love for the Chimaera on a passenger ride I had in my bosses 500 about 15 yrs ago. It's a long shot I know but it would be really great to meet up with a local ish Chimaera owning Pistonhead member to learn a bit more about the cars. Of course, a passenger ride would be great, but it would also be great to stick my head under one and have a look at what's what etc and also hear about the general ownership experience. I've been reading up about buying and running etc, but what I really need is to see one in the flesh.

I'm based in Bristol (BS6), so if anyone local has an hour to spare over the next couple of weeks it would be massively appreciated smile Happy to travel out of Bristol to meet somewhere suitable.

Cheers in advance smile
Matt

I don't live in Bristol and am not around for a couple of weeks but if nobody helps in the next 2 weeks, drop me a PM.

Good luck.

You could nip down the M4 to Neil Garner's place (J17 and north 5 miles or so). I imagine he knows plenty about them and he has one for sale...

There was a lovely yellow one parked up for a while on Stackpool Road recently. Was for sale for £7,000.

Looked rather nice, no idea if that might happen to belong to someone on here?
