There is only really a couple main roads over it really so I would do this if heading towards Cornwall

The scenery is unreal, and you get plenty of time to take it all in due to the 40mph limit over the moor.

Expect your well on your way by now. Just in case, your reading on the move. I would recommend you avoid the Tamar Bridge and head back towards the A30 after Two Bridges, via Tavistock, great pasties there and Gunnislake. Great road winds up and down the banks of the Tamar vally. See Link.
