Hi Guys
The Company that my wife Angie works for are involved in some Fund Raising in aid of the Bristol Children’s Hospital. They are hoping to raise enough money to buy one of the Bristol Gromit Statues at the upcoming auction in October for the Wallace & Gromit Appeal.
We thought it might be fun to arrange some form of meet in Bristol or the South West - either a static meet at a suitable location (Queen’s Square?) or a potential convoy/tunnel run?
As we only have around 8 weeks, there isn’t much time to organise a large event so the tunnel run seemed like it may be a good idea. We haven’t had one for a while but wanted to check with you guys in case there had been any issues/barriers to this you are aware of?
Angie has e-mailed a number of contacts, race owners and celebrities and some great prize donations have been offered.
Initial idea is to meet at the Avenue Club (Queens’ Square) on Sunday September 8th and go in convoy from there? The thinking would be around a nominal charge per car to take part which gives an entry into a raffle to win some of the potential prizes?
Would really welcome your input/advice/support in terms of whether this may be a good idea/create a sufficient amount of interest? All thoughts greatly appreciated.
Special thanks to Paul Garlick of PistonHeads.com who has kindly given permission for us to make this post.
Thanks in advance to you all

Hi Andy
I did try to reply to your last thread but the hamsters munched the thread before I got time to hit submit
There's no issues with the tunnel runs that I know of. On my part I've just been too busy with work, moving house etc. Hopefully all sorted for now so if you need a hand with arranging a route let me know and I'll dig out the previous routes we've done and the ideas list.

Hi guys sorry to crash this thread it was the name that got my attention! We are holding a Motorsport evening this Thursday at newtown motors in cwmbran there's going to be some passenger rides in a Chevrolet Camaro, a 3-wheeler and a selection of other cars!
There will also be an auction for things such as: - Phil Collins limited edition print; - signed "Flat Over Crest" book; and - a signed (by the current 1st team) Manchester United shirt.
All monies raised will be going to the Wallace and Gromit Appeal for the Bristol Childrens Hopsital.
