Probably going to end up scrapping my old MK3 Golf if I can't find a buyer for it, where's paying the best rates for scrap cars near Gloucester at the moment? CarTakeBack offered £100 which seems a bit low (they'd offer £170 slightly further north)

How knackered is it? My brother works for the Old Dubshop...they might be interested in it as a project car.

Bit of rust in the drivers side sill that's gonna need patching for mot. . Engine wise it runs well but a manifold bolt has been sheared so the manifold leaks. Paint is wrecked (peeling lacquer). Depends what they'd wanna do with it tbh

Is this the car that you wanted garage recommendations for last week?

Although I know many of the garages, i dont know the scrapyards. If it has MOT stick it on ebay smile

yes - a slight change in circumstance and a Gumtree "bargain" sees me with 3 cars instead of the 2 I require hehe

Harry Buckland near Staverton will give you scrap value for it as will Twigworth breakers.
