Prescott Revival - Sunday August 11th 2013
Discussion
Prescott is a friendly hill climb near Cheltenham and the Revival event is a relaxed and enjoyable meeting of a wide range of cars. A number of clubs, including Bugatti, Porsche, TVR, Mini, MG, Westfield, Mercedes, etc. have already booked up and I thought it would be a great opportunity to put a bit of a PH convoy together especially as this year, entry will be free (this event is listed in the PH main calendar).
The event features a concours competition (get in touch with the organisers if you'd like to enter), live music, stands and there is a nice café/bar on site too.
Perhaps even more importantly, if your car is road legal, then you can get involved in the track action and take whatever you bring up the hill. The cost is £35.00 for the first two runs (£15 per run after that) and those who came with us last year really couldn't get enough - there is no pressure to go quickly, the runs aren't timed and it's all strictly one at a time. Pay your money, attend a safety briefing and blast up the hill. Oh and all of the profits go to charity.
If you don't mind taking passengers with you and your car is a bit different, then you may be able to get into a special paddock area and it's the passengers who'll be paying to go up with you - your runs will essentially be free (you know you want to Dean)! If you'd like to know in advance whether your car might be able to get into this area, then please contact the organiser through their site.
Here is a view from a certain TVR V8S going up the hill last year: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USKenlNq3ns.
If you'd like to be part of a PH convoy for the journey up, then please add your name to the list. Everyone is welcome and if we arrive together at the appropriate time as a club, then I've been informed that we have a much greater chance of getting parked together and in better location:

If you want to 100% guarantee a run up the hill, then it is advisable to book in advance via the event website.
At the moment the organiser expects slots to still be available on the day, but they can't be guaranteed. So if you absolutely, must get up the hill, then please book.
If your car has been selected for the special paddock area passenger runs, then I'm told that some slots will be reserved for you automatically without pre-booking.

Did send a message to Graham. Can I put two different cars? Both me and father (vx220 and 911 C4S)
Ta
Absolutely, the more the merrier. Ta
Graham probably has your message, but he has been a bit tied up with Sherborne and his work (apparently he has to earn a living, don't really understand that myself), so apologies if there has been any delay/confusion/overlap - this will be the main "going to Prescott South West" thread. He should be along to join it at some point.

I am away, sadly (or not depending on your point of view...).
That said, 3-speed slushbox + hillclimb course = slow car, or fally-off action!
Your car would have been just fine for the hill - the beauty is, there is no rush! Everyone can take the hill at their own pace. That said, 3-speed slushbox + hillclimb course = slow car, or fally-off action!
Shame you can't make it.
