Walking back from the pub this afternoon along the canal towpath - as you do - my 7 year old son declared that he was knackered.
So, jokingly, we asked a passing canalboat man if he had got room for three passengers.
Bugger me if he didn't pull over to the canal side & tell us to jump on board!!!
So rather than walk home we had a cracking ride down the canal!!!
We didnt get the guys name because he said it didn't matter as he was happy to give us a lift.
So, on the off chance that he might be reading this, thank you very much.
It was a good end to a lazy Sunday afternoon in the pub!!
