I know Portishead isn't quite local but Ryans Garage here are pretty good...around £35 I think.

Ryan's Garage crop up on Groupon from time to time for £25 for the aircon, there was one recently but I can't find it anymore. My OH's needs doing and I'm going to take it there as they did a good job of fitting some tyres for me last weekend.

I've had mine done by them twice on the previous car.

I took it in for a regas and they said before starting that the unit was quite badly pitted (it was 8yrs old, I had it nearly 5 and had never had it regassed). They advised me to get the unit replaced but I couldnt afford it at the time so they just did a regas but warned me it was unlikely to last. 2 days later it had lost all the gas, rang them and booked the car back in 2 weeks later for a new unit and they did another regas for free.

I think the recent deal was a full air con service, usually around £140 for £25 or something like that.
