Not sure if this belongs in here, or in the classic car section...

I am looking for a local-ish (I'm Bristol-based) engineering firm capable of re-furbishing the brake master cylinder from my 1970's Mk1 Ford Transit Van.

I've searched in vain for a NOS cylinder or a modern cylinder which would fit in all of the usual places but ended up drawing a blank and opting for a cylinder re-engineer (re-sleeved and new seals etc).

It has come back (after a long period of time, and at £40 postage costs) from a firm based in Devon and my mechanic tried to fit it.
The cylinder did not bleed properly.
Upon inspection, the unit had swarf left inside.
I don't want to send it back (due to time delays through postage) and would prfer to take it in-person to a local engineering shop to look at, test, and make appropriate 'fixes' so it works. Can anybody recommend one please?

I'm wanting to get the van back on the road pretty soon to take advantage of the 'summer' weather (it's a camper-van) with my family.

Thanks all!
