Trimmer in glos/Avon area?

All,

I want to recolour my seats with a Furniture Clinic kit so today took out the passenger seat.




The only problem is....that the underside looks like this:



If I can't repair the bottom of the seats myself, does any one know of a good (priced) trimmer?

Hi Karl

I had a similar problem myself and fixed to a great standard using halfords rubber matts and extra long plastic fasteners. There was a video posted on youtube by Nosh which he linked on here but ive just looked and the video has gone.

However, I have completed this a couple of times now on mine and a mates car and works really well. It could save you quite a few bob and I'll be more than happy to show you how to do it. Im based in Chippenham, so if you wanted to pop over we could work through it together. It shouldnt take too long and the results are great. Did mine a year ago and still in tip top condition.

Just out of interest why is there so much rust under the seat?

Has this been saltwater dipped?

I'm not sure if the water came in through the 4 securing holes in the fibreglass (probably) or through a leak in the roof or roof seal and the water settled in the footwell for some time with a previous owner.
