The Merlin engines are built here in Dursley by Retro Track & Air and tested at their facility at kemble. They build and supply Merlins to all over the world including the Battle of Britain Memorial flight. Its their engines you see in the BBMF Spifires,Hurricanes and of course the lancaster.

Don't know his name Ted, but his brother is a courier I know from Safe Transport. Drives a VW Transporter iirc (it's been a while since we spoke but he knew a huge amount about planes and engines).
