Hello all,

Its been a while since we last went to the gorge! So I thought I'd see if anyone is interested in a small meet on Sunday 9th June.

I was thinking of starting in the gorge, meeting at about midday in the largest car park, which is just before the narrow section on the right side, if you're coming up the gorge from Cheddar. And then leaving at 12:30pm for a rougly 35min drive on the Mendips finishing up at one of the pubs in Priddy. I was thinking the Queen Victoria as I seem to remember it being nice and having plenty of parking and they serve food: http://www.queenvictoria.butcombe.com/

The route I was thinking of is as follows: http://goo.gl/maps/9uXO3

So thats Sunday 9th June @ 12:00pm to leave at 12:30pm.

Please note that if you wish to eat at the Queen Victoria (web address above) you'll need to book a table as its likely to be very busy in the gorgeous weather!

So who's in?

There's a planned FCCUK (Fiat Coupe Club) meet in the gorge that day also, but a bit earlier at 10:30. smile

Think you will struggle with parking and traffic that late in the day. Also looks like the same day as the Queens Square Bristol meet.

Well to be honest, any weekend over the summer is going to be busy, and they'll be one event or another on every weekend aswell.

I'll just see how it goes. I'm not really looking for lots of people as the Gorge don't like big meets so just a few cars will be great smile

Gorge meets need to be really late to be fun, just not so late that you then disrupt the drifters! Might pop along but I tend to prefer going for proper drives alone with a good album to listen to! And at night...

Fairdo's. Personally I don't really fancy driving for 2 hours to get some fish and chips though! They're a long way apart so Cheddar will suit some people and Weymouth will suit others.

My plan will be to do Queens square first thing and then head to Cheddar for the little meet there smile

Would like to come, if only to witness the rockfalls after chimtvr revs up . . . but I can't make it frown .
