Hi all,

I have a seat altea xl 170. The airbag light has been on for about a month. It has its mot on Saturday and didn't think it would fail on this, however, after reading another thread I now know it will.

Can anyone help with turning the light off. I Live in dawlish, I will obviously come to you locally, exeter area etc

Some beers for help

Call me on 07584311239

Thanks,

Rich

PS: I can do other stuff like coding in bits and pieces to work differently (eg, anti-hijack, one click all door unlocking)

Oh, and another thing, I can ONLY diagnose what is causing the light to be on. If you've knocked something (classic one is usually the wife's handbag knocking the connector for the side airbag under the passenger seat) then it will need fixing before the light can go out. Do you recall what might have set it off in the first place?

Hello mate,

There was a jack lead which connects the iPod/phone to the stereo which slipped down the side of the seat and my mate pulled it out and it has been on since then.

Sounds like the airbag connector under the seat then. Not a reason I have ever come across before though! biggrin Might be worth getting a hand under to check it is securely connected before resetting the light. smile

Yeah - Did I ever get rid of airbag light for you? I forget. biggrin

PS: misfires don't always bring up the reason for the misfire, but it does usually tell you which cylinder it is seeing the misfire in, which might help.
