Today I went to try get some love back for the car. I have spent around £1200 in two months on her and starting to question ownership.

So off I set, left home around 7.30am this morning and headed to Cheddar Gorge. Some nice driving roads if it stayed dry... sadly it didnt. So just pootled along. I took the camera for some snaps in the Gorge. See below

Sorry about all the pics, I like to get a bit creative and the background was spot on.

For anyone that has not been here, its really hard to show in the photos but its stupidly high. Very cool place to go with the cars. They should close it and do a hill climb there, would be amazing

I also took this video of me driving half way down and then backup again. Not driving it hard or anything just giving a good show of what the road is like

Nice one MB, always good to see pics smile

The weather is one reason I moved away from Cheddar, those bloody Mendips just draw in the crap weather.

So!....did the love come back for the car?

It did a bit yes. Got her home and she is covered in mud. On the way home it dried up so could give her some beans. Went very well and no problems which is nice.

I used to have an escort cosworth and 15 years later I still have a lot of love for them, loved it late at night through twisty lanes

Some interesting angles there. You should try it on a push bike. Was up that way for a swimming gala, in Street, on Saturday. Then drove back via Lyme Regis, for Fish & Chips. Had a realy nice pootle along, with the Mrs G onboard.

This one is Rear Wheel Drive so a bit sketchy on the limit, goes like stink in a straight line though haha

Some great roads around this area. Lyme is a good drive as well

Not sure you need the disclaimer on the vid as it's fairly obvious you're not hammering it along smile

Lovely looking car though and the gorge is always a good place to go. It helps that a lot of the roads in the area that you use to get there are good for driving as well. The top of the mendips, burrington combe etc are fun in any car smile

Always thought a short convoy route a bit like this could be fun with a few other cars. Taking in the gorge, burrington combe, blagdon, chew valley lake, the old Bristol road (nice stretch near priddy) etc:

It can be fun if clear, but the fact two points arent very wide means you have to slow right down, plus goats seem to like standing in the road...

The road heading out from the gorge is great fun as well.
