Castle Combe track day, Monday 3rd June, Anyone going?

Hi all,

I've just booked the above. Its with Apex track days, I've not used them before but I've heard very good things about them!
I was just wondering if anyone else fancies it?
It'll be the first day I do in the 182, a little different to my last track day in August last year at a wet Rockingham in the C55!

I'm looking forward to it with a good little group of us The 182's new steering wheel to replace the original melted one has arrived so should be fitted next week along with a service. So it'll be presentable by the track day. Can't wait

Should be a good day. There's a banana yellow GTR coming, known to me and Simon, so looking forward to a passenger ride in that during the day.

Did that GTR come to the recent Spring Action Day? I was wondering if it was a standard colour or a wrap or a respray?

Yeah, that's the one. It's a very expensive wrap. Car is a dark blue underneath.

Me and a few from my club, we're all the Fiesta ZS', can't wait, been almost a year since my last track day.

It's fully booked now.

I am in doubt for this now. Got a serious running issue with my Skoda which involves quite a lot of smoke and I suspect, wasted diesel... If anyone fancies my spot, get in touch. I "might" still make it if my issue isn't too serious, but it could as easy as the injector wiring loom, could be as bad as a worn out camshaft!

Small group of us going. Never been on Castle Combe before, very much looking forward to it. Also never taken my 924 on track before, so gingerly will be the theme of the day for me!

Slightly worrying that with less than a week to go we still haven't had our confirmation details of the booking (booked through trackdays.co.uk), been chasing that today and still not heard back.

Gutted I'm not going now as would like to see a 924 being used properly. I would never track mine - just not confident it would survive, plus I have a much faster diesel to use for that.

One of my friends has written his car off so won't be able to come now One less Fiesta on track.

Mines a bit of a shed but mechanically in order, just a bit tatty around the edges. It's a base 924 so not very quick, but should be good fun with a bit of space to stretch!

Mine is about the same, but I wouldn't fancy tracking it. Are you on 924 OC? I remember there being two 924s at Cadwell Park a couple of months back.

I would just like to point out before tomorrow that I didn't put the 'Powered by fairy dust' sticker on the back, it was vandalised last night in Newquay.
