Where to meet to view a car in Swindon?

Hi all

I'm meeting someone on Saturday who wants to view my car, and for me to view his as a possible part exchange.
As we're about 3.5hrs away from each other, Swindon seems like a good halfway point.

Can anyone recommend anywhere suitable with some nice roads nearby? Don't want to be stuck in city centre traffic if I can help it.

A motorway services is probably the easiest option, but it would be nice to go for a test drive on some a/b roads.

Let's ignore the fact that you should view a car at someone's house, and I'm relatively confident I'm not going to get mugged!

If you come off at J15, there is an Esso station at the top of the hill half a mile south on the A346 towards Marlborough, then you don't have the problem of coming from opposite directions to a motorway service area.

Come off the M4 at J16 and take the Wootton Basset road, Sally Pusseys pub is a few hundred yards on the right.

If you want a test drive route, go cross country back to J15 and then return on the M4.

The only times I've been to Swindon recently I've been working about 2 minutes away from the second suggestion, so that could well be an option.

Same junction but on the Swindon side; drive through Costa with a reasonable car park, or the hotel car park adjacent.

Hi, go careful with this kind of thing. I know of a vehical that was recently stolen while being viewed for sale. Do not leave the car running or the the keys in the ignition at all.

They jumped in the passanger side and locked the doors, climbed over and drove off in the vehical. Go very careful
