I'll be working at a client's offices this week near Portland Square. Can anyone recommend anywhere for free on-street parking a few minutes walk away?

I drove around the local area today but couldn't find any space so parked in Cabot Circus at £16 per day. I'll be in the 'station car' so not too worried about parking it on the street.

Stokes croft, St Pauls, City Rd and all the streets off City Rd, but good luck trying to find a space, I work there once a week, it takes a wile driving around but you do find the odd space

I can usually park most days on Brighton St, Campell St, Denbigh st or even streets off Ashley Rd, all free parking and all not far to walk to Portland Square and you can buy Crack-cocanie if that's your thinghehe

I used to work in Cave Street. If I arrived before about 7.00 I used to be able to get a space on Wilder Street, which was unrestricted. That was in about 1991, so not sure if it still is, but a quick look at Google Street view suggests it might be. As you will see if you take a look, it's a colourful area, with much to see and do.

Thanks for both the replies.

Trig9k - I assume there's a cut-off time when it gets almost impossible to find a space? How late can I leave it but still get a space and be in the office for 9am. Is 8.30am going to be too late? Thanks for your help.

I work in the area any time from 8am-4pm and its pot luck to find a space but I always manage usually no more than 10mins driving around , it's not the nicest area in Bristol so not many commuters park there, locals mainly so 8.30am people are generally in there cars on there way leaving space behind
