I promise to make the line up slightly less impressive should I turn up... Not sure as I have a rescheduled exam the next day.
why would you make it lesss impressive, it doesnt matter what the car is or what its had done to it, its all about the love you have for it! take mine for example. it started off as a standard fresh import i had it two years then my sone was born. He grew a little and set light to the car (he was only two). The car was an insurance total loss but hey no claim was made and the pounds got spent. It was down and out for two years and after many car shows and many runs down the drag strip at santa pod, i got fed up with my mates RX7 FD bridgeport getting the better of me. I could not afford to send it to Nismo so i built my own R400. A friend of mine built the body kit and fitted it, the engine, well thats my department anyway and withh many contacts i got the 400 at the wheels. None of this would have happend if i diddnt have the love for the car. It dosnt matter how long it takes or how much it costs, love speaks a thousand words when it comes to your pride and joy. Im lucky, i dont have to drive the skyline if needs be, i have my mini as well, yes you heard right, a mini and old school one at that, but none the less, mini's are my true love when it comes to cars and yes ive spent a bucket load on it but at the end of the day, its a mini. But again, it is what it is because of the LOVE, Love your car and your car will love and look after you. This is wher you tell me you have a robbin reliant? well if thats the case then fair play, im not so proud i cant admit to saying i was beated on the drag strip in june 2010 by a reliant kitten who had a terminal speed of 156mph over the 1/4 mile on a £300 engine. Like i said it dont matter what it is, what its made of, or what you spent. It all comes down to love, blood and tears. Trust me, you will not be any less impressive. Any true petrol head dont care what the next mans metal (or GRP is) its whats in the mind that counts......................WOW 11.45pm a bottle of wine later and the true sentimental thaughts of a petrol head come out.skylinegts33t said:

Just saying that an Alfa shed is not a match for anything on that list apart from maybe on noise!

Excellent!
Ted - I was chatting to Terry over the weekend and he may well have a wander across, although the TR is tucked-up for the winter.
I can certainly make that, I don't know how I missed the other thread Should be 40 mins up the M5 from j21?

Not having been to one of these before, what is the score?Do you meet there and then go for a trundle, or is the location because it is a good pub with good food?
As we're having a relaxing weekend in a Gloucester Spa hotel it might be nice to take the wife for a nice pub lunch on the Sunday
What with that and a surprise trip to Dick Lovett on the way up, she'll be spoiled rotten.
Paul (wondering if there are any good divorce lawyers on PH)
Hi Paul,
First proper meeting to be honest, so playing it by ear a bit. I suppose the idea is to meet up for a chat/coffee/nose around people's motors and then whatever people fancy after that.
Pub is very nice and more than suitable for a meal with SWMBO. Equally, if people want to head off for a pootle round the countryside there is that option as well - I only ask that people arrive & leave in an orderly fashion so as not to alienate the locals!
Ethos is 'The More The Merrier' with a definite, underlined, capitalised - NO CAR SNOBBERY!
