Anyone around Weymouth? Travel & parking info needed

I'm starting a new job in Weymouth, there is no onsite parking and I need to work out the best way to manage that.

It's been suggested that the Mount Pleasant Park & Ride is the best option - I'm heading for the North Quay area and I wonder whether I'm likely to find any free parking within a sensible walking distance or whether I'm stuck with the bus?
