After spending the past 6 months in Kent, I've re-located back to Bristol with work.

My immediate family live in the north west, but as things are, things are pretty fragmented family-wise, so it'd be impossible to see both parents and extended family in the few days I have off at Xmas.

So, I've decided I'd like to do some voluntary work on Xmas day, possibly extending into boxing day depending on work commitments. I think I'd feel more content doing this.

I know it's quite late on now and any potential CRB checks may arrive back too late.

I'd ideally want to do some work with the homeless - any suggestions or help would be great...

Night shelter generally and then Caring at Christmas run over Christmas - probably a good starting point

Cheers.

Filled out the form this evening, but can't send back electronically - will drop off in person this week.

Friend if mine who was unemployed did this last year. Loved it smile

Another mate is off to London to stay in a hostel and help out at a shelter up there over Christmas.

Top work smile

Back to square one. They contacted me this morning to tell me I wasn't needed on Xmas day or Boxing day.

Anyone any other shouts? I don't mind travelling a bit if needs be.

Cheers.
