I felt really sorry for the poor man who sadly lost his life in Chew Stoke last week. Drove through the ford in the village and the current in the water dragged his vehicle downstream into the river and wedged his vehicle half under a bridge where he was trapped.

Suffered around Exeter too. I stayed home most of the weekend to avoid it. Woman killed sleeping (rough) in a tent by a falling tree blown over in the wind. Again, not a nice way to go. Never seen the river Exe so high flowing through Exeter city centre.
