mmmmm
Either main dealer or check your manual, i think there is a way of resetting the signal and setting it up with the car. If you go on to XKEC forum and ask there, they will tell you how to check using the car.

Unfortunately my membership has run out

Shaun,

Did you get this sorted?

If you need to programme your key fobs - follow this procedure:

1.Key in ignition without turning to any position.

2.Pull headlamp flash stalk towards you.

3.Turn ignition key to position one (aux) while holding the flash stalk towards you.

4.Flash the handle towards you 4 or 5 times and you should hear a confirmation "chirp" from the security sounder. Also the security light next to the gear selector will flash on. ( i didn't hear the chirp on mine but the led in the j gate did flash)

5.After the chirp press the unlock button on the remote you wish to program listening for the chirp after each press, or a different sounding error tone meaning the programming didn't work.

To program two or more remotes, which will be required if more than one will be used, follow step 5 procedures one remote after another until all have been programmed.

At least that should check the fobs to narrow down the problem. If they are old it is worth opening them up and cleaning the contacts behind the rubber buttons.

Good luck,
Robocop
