Folks,

I'm off work tomorrow, back in at the weekend. Assuming the weather stays fine I really fancy a blat over to Wales tomorrow as the motor's a bit sad about burbling around to and from work...

Any ideas for a good route, or indeed does anyone fancy coming?

Sam

Bit far afield for me, if you come down this way I'll join you though.

Cool, will see what the weather's doing. Am tempted by Wales because it's closer to very entertaining roads from here!

Hi Sam tomorrow is the last day for a few months that I will be able to drive, so I would go for this depending on time frame's?

I'm near the old bridge?

Hate to admit it but Wales does have some cracking roads. To be honest, the whole country is wasted on the Welsh!

Sounds good. Probably late morning with a butty stop in Wales at some point. Knowing my penchant for procrastination it might not happen though.

PM me your phone number/brief co-ordinates and I'll give you a bell in the morning if all looks well.

Room for a little 'un? I've got nothing on after mid-morning, and could do with some Welsh goodness.

I've got lots of route ideas, and a couple of potential lunch spots if you need them.

Excellent, great to see I'm not the only one idle in the week wink PM me your number/vague co-ordinates and I'll give you a bell in the morning provided weather holds... Suspect it'll be a late morning malarkey with a nice lunch stop in God's country smile

Looks as though rain over most of Wales so have to forget this unless someone knows a route towards Cotswolds or Wiltshire ?

I might drag the cerb out for this if I can get away with it as a long lunch. I'll keep an eye on the thread in the morning. O

There's a surprising amount of good stuff near Swindon, if you know where to look.

Winter lay-up, or are you 'going away' for a while?

There are various options up to the four hour full-monty plus pub lunch in the middle, but it's flexible.

None of the above Tony, shoulder & spine operation at the Spire on Saturday.

So what is the plan is it wet Wales or Cotswolds/Wiltshire ?
