the new wheels !!!!

Hi Giles

DETAILED SPECIFICATION UPGRADES
The FULL timing chain tensioner up-grade, as recommended by Jaguar, was fitted in 2009, replacing the potentially troublesome plastic tensioners with the later sprung steel versions, together with the various chain replacements-total cost £1,650. In 2010 Paramount Engineering of Slough fitted an excellent £2,000 performance up-grade, consisting of a full Miltek 'Resonated' stainless steel exhaust system, upper supercharger pulley change to smaller diameter and ECU re-map. This raised the nett engine power at the wheels to over 400BHP, with corresponding torque increase and proof of this is shown by the supplied dynomometer print-out. (NOTE THAT ALL factory quoted figures are rarely met-measured power on most 4.0 litre XKR's typically comes in at 300-340BHP!). The sound from the Miltek exhaust is not obtrusive but sounds really superb and not 'droning,' even with the top down and travelling at high cruising speeds- a vast improvement on the standard fitment.
Externally the car's appearance has been discreetly improved by certain Adamesh accessories, notably the bonnet air intakes to a chrome-plated design, chrome front and rear number plate surround, rear bonnet and rear light cluster surrounds and side reflectors change from orange to semi-clear types. An 'R' badge is affixed on each side of the front wings.
Internally the J-gate gear surround is chrome-plated, with chrome rings on the dash-board instruments. The gear-lever knob has also an improved appearance, with the newly-fitted type having the 'R' logo inset in the top. An extremely useful after-market fitment has been the fitting of accessory pockets on the lower edges of the drive and passenger doors which has greatly improved the limited internal storage capacity and have a restrained appearance, in keeping with the luxuriously appointed interior.
