Auto Electrician - Bristol/North Somerset area

The motor on the hood of my 2003 Z4 is playing up. Can anyone recommend a cost effective, reliable & reputable auto electrician.
I have heard some horrible stories about the potential cost of taking the car to a main dealer, who instead of diagnosing & repairing may choose to replace part after part until such time as the mechanism is fully effective.
