West Cornwall drive- Sunday 28th Oct
Discussion
So Mighty Flex has abandoned his Amarillo Fluorescent Arosa in favour of his newly acquired Alfa 156 and we feel the need for a drive.
The plan is to meet by the A30 at Hayle and head west in a large circuit around the awesome roads at the far end of Cornwall. If we meet in the large car park at the M&S, Next, Boots, Costa complex on the roundabout at the start of the Hayle bypass at ~9am with the intention of leaving for 9.15 am. This start location should be close enough for anyone West of it to travel to without complaining too much about distance whilst still attracting a few from further East, and conveniently there is a Shell station on the roundabout.
The route will be a lot of great roads mixed with great scenery, suitable for all cars and will be approx 60miles ending back where it started.
Hopefully see you there!

Great route, looking forward to it.
The car park at M&S/Boots/Costa is usually pretty packed, especially on w/ends. Might struggle to get spaces there.
Would probally be better off meeting in the mcdonalds across the roundabout, there's a few lorry spaces to the side that are always empty. see here

On a Sunday morning at that time? Shops other than Costa aren't open until 10.30, met there before a similar time on a Sunday and it's been nearly empty. If we leave it for now and when we turn up if it's rammed we can move around the corner to the macdonalds lorry bit.The car park at M&S/Boots/Costa is usually pretty packed, especially on w/ends. Haha I don't know why I had in my head that it was satyrday, sunday at that time should be fine. Sorry I need to manage to fit this in with going to the Falmouth Beer festival on Saturday....
This could be difficult!
That said I have been to most PH meets with a hangover, so why break the habit!
The new car is more or less sorted - few ropey suspension bushes but otherwise in fine fettle. Better adjust the springs as they are set to bone shatteringly stiff at the moment, and I'm not sure if that's compatible with Cornwall's roads . At least it will sound better than the Arouser

I went last year - ended up in Club I IIRC, kept sending my mate of to dance with young studenty girls. He never learned that it was switch night so all the lads were wearing dresses!E-B said:
