Just had a call from my kid brother, took him over 3 hours to get from Worle, WSM to around Bristol Airport (he works in Bristol) due to massive flooding all around the area.
Bath's pretty soggy too. I took the Caterham in this morning and had a bow-wave at one point Less amusing was the wipers deciding they'd had enough with about a mile still to go
Similar story in East Devon/South Somerset. Three aborted attempts to get to work via different routes. My usual 50 minute journey took me nearly 1 hour 40.
A little moist hereabouts too. Serious risk of aquaplaning on clearly flooded roads yet many knob-heads driving at break-neck pace. I just hope they don't take out me or anyone I know when they finally come to grief. Feckwits.
Flooded completely in Portbury this morning so no-one from Nailsea direction could get on the motorway. Also flooded on beggar bush I think and out towards Barrow Gurney - traffic was a tad busy...
it took me nearly 3 hours to get from dundry lane a38 to avonmouth docks cant blame the weather but you can blame the stupid drivers that try and ford a flooded road in a petrol engined car
