Moving to Bristol

Just thought I would say hello as I am moving to work and live in Bristol after the New Year. Looking to rent a room in Clifton before looking to buy. I can't wait!

Clifton is a nice place to live, I live just down the road in Hotwells so if you need any advice or pointers give me a shout.
The traffic can be a nightmare but apart from that Bristols a nice place to be.

Thanks Mark. Our office is in Clifton, so I think it make sense to live there too so that I can walk to work (no parking). I'm sure I will have a few questions!

Stuff work and living, get to some decent events !

We have an active car meet scene in the southwest with loads of drives, tunnel runs, charity events and general hoons around the place
Your more than welcome, even tho you'll be a "northerner" as far as the southwest region is concerned !!

I lived on Jacobs wells Road in Clifton for a year or so. A nice area with some really good bars and restaurants. As you've already guessed, parking can be a right pain. Good luck with the move

I lived for a year in Clifton and it's a nice place to be. I've also lived in lots of other places in Bristol, some good, some not so. Welcome!

My eldest was at Bristol Uni for 4 years - she was gutted when she had to move to Oxford to continue her studies.

She loves Bristol & its nightlife so much she commutes back to Bristol every Friday afternoon so she can spend the weekend having a good time.

Oxford nightlife is, her words, fking awful!!!!
