Hello all,

Its been a while since I managed to make a PH's run. I think it'd be a good idea to make to most of what could well be the last spell of warm weather this year!

So I thought it'd be a nice idea to head to Cheddar Gorge this coming Sunday 9th Sept. And then head up to the Mendips for a drive.
After that we could head back down the gorge to the Riverside Inn in Cheddar (postcode BS27 3PX) for a drink or even some food! If I remember rightly the large car park next to the pub is free after 6pm (if anyone can confirm this it'd be much appreciated!) which we may need to use as the pubs car park isn't very large and its a popular pub.

How does meeting in the 4th car park on the right as you go up the gorge (link to google maps below) at 5:30pm sound?

If you fancy it, add your name and car to the list below.
Hopefully see some of you there,

Cheers,

James.

Could be potentially up for this if I get away from work in time, what sort of time are you thinking?

I will IF it is not raining, will be pointless taking the car out in the rain. Will only get egged on with others and cannot be doing that

We should be around. Looking at the forecast slightly earlier in the day may be an idea (as in 4ish).

Will be at Queen Square in the morning - will you be coming down for that?

How is your AMG by the way? Wasn't it a little 'notworkingy' (sorry if I got a little technical for you there)?

I can't make it any earlier unfortunately due to family lunch frown. Its back to life now. The crankshaft position sensor decided it didn't want to work at 1am driving into Exeter. I wasn't impressed..... Its back to life now though and I'm using it to drive my friends bride to their wedding, and then the 2 of them to the reception. Due to said wedding I may not make queens square as it'll be abandoned at the reception so I'll have to pick it up. And of course I may be a little worse for wear.... I'll aim to come along though! If I do it may well still have wedding ribbon on it though, but at least it'll stand out :P

Also I agree that if the forecast stays as is and it does rain, it'd be somewhat pointless. I for one wouldn't enjoy driving around in the rain!

So we'll leave it as "subject to weather"

I'm working til 4.30 but should be okay for this subject to weather and girlfriend (I got told off for doing too many car things recently instead of seeing her paperbag).

I promise not to make any mention of metallic objects if I do make it.

Well the weather is looking dry and sunny, with no rain until later tonight. So see you guys there smile. Not sure if we'll be stopping at the pub after the drive though.

See you later,

Cheers,

James.
