Prescott Revival THIS SUNDAY 12th Aug
Discussion
Prescott is a friendly hill climb near Cheltenham, and its Revival event - a gathering of all sorts of cars from classics and hotrods to supercars - is happening this weekend: Sat 11th and Sunday 12th August.
It's a relaxed and enjoyable event with car clubs, a concours competition, stands and live music as well as the on-track action. There is a nice cafe on site too.
As organisers of Caring with Cars in May (to which Prescott Revival came along), we have agreed to organise a group of about 30 PHers to go along and display on the Sunday.
The great part about this event is, for a relatively small sum, you can take your car / bike up the hill at whatever speed you like. It is great fun, fully marshalled and quite safe if you drive within your limits. You don't need to wear a helmet or need a competition licence.
Here's me going up last year in the Tiv:

Entrance
Entry is £15 per car with, I believe, 2 hillruns costing £20.
However, we have been offered a free hill run with each entry through the Caring with Cars name, saving a tenner if you wish to tackle the hill.
Come along!
We are particularly looking for classic, sports and performance cars to provide a good show, but not exclusively!
If you're free this Sunday, why not do something a bit different than buying lights in IKEA, washing a chicken or roasting the dog?
So far, we have:
McLaren MP4
Lola T70
Tesla
TVR V8S
Mercedes C63 AMG
Hyundai Getz
TVR Cerbera
TVR 400SE
Audi Quattro rally car
Dodge Viper
Ford Consul Hotrod
Porsche GT3 RS
Lancia Delta Integrale
Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale
MK2 Escort rally car (if he doesn't stuff it on a rally the day before)
We are setting up a convoy from Cribbs Causeway on the M5 near Bristol at 8.15am for those coming from the south west, to reach Prescott around 9.30.
If you want to come along, please let us know on here.

Hi. I'm very local to Prescott, me and my Dad often go along and we would be interested in this. Are you looking for cars to add to the display? If so, my Dad has an '86 Porsche 928 S2.
It would be great to have more cars along. In order to get the offer of a free hillclimb and reserved parking with the CwC cars your Dad would probably need to arrive at the same time as us (we'll be coming up from Bristol in a convoy).Williams99 said:
I doubt my Fiat Bravo would be worthy though!
The event is a public one so any car would be more than welcome, although you probably won't be able to get the free hillclimb and entry into the Caring With Cars parking area - it's not our call I'm afraid.Update
We'll be meeting in the Morrisons car park (just off Lysander Road BS10 7UD) at Cribbs Causeway.
Having just spoken to the organisers they have confirmed that anyone who arrives in our group will get parked as part of Caring with Cars, so the more the merrier. However, you may not be guaranteed the free hill climb with the entry price (£ 15) if you aren't in a "sports or classic car" as there may be a limited number of passes avialable and we aren't the ones deciding on what qualifies.
Even if you don't get given a free hillclimb, they will be available to be purchased on the day (2 runs for £ 20) as Graham has already mentioned. It's a charity event, so that's no bad thing and at the moment the weather is looking good so it should be a cracking day out regardless.

How much does it cost to just come along to the event.
Standard entry - £ 15 (no hill climb included, normal public parking)Entry as part of the CwC convoy - £ 15 but this includes parking in the CwC area (probably the paddock) and, if you have a suitable classic/sports car it is also likely to include a free hillclimb (numbers may be limited by the organisers at their discretion if we suddenly have a very large convoy!).
