This is nightmare stuff:

We stayed near there on that Friday night and drove north to Taunton when we heard the forecast was going to be bad in that area on saturday.

Seems incredible that they didn't check the slip before now?

They where reporting earlier that they had checked the mudslide, and had thought nothing could be under it.

Horrific and unbelievable that 10 days elapsed before they found the car/bodies.

Mrs AA used to live at Mosterton, a few minutes away

We've passed through that tunnel many, many times

They used a heat camera on the tunnel not long after the 'slide but it didn't pick them up (though I guess there is a fair chance the poor devils were cold by then).
