Sure I've seen it around Exmouth before. Might be wrong.

We were having a little play on the way home when the diffuser on the back between the exhausts came loose, so the faster he went the more the air pushed it down toward the road surface where scraped along throwing up debris and potentially getting ripped off and doing more damage.
Took a while of me flashing and pointing and indicating for him to pull over, he thought I was flashing because he had left his indicator on!

Glad you got it sorted and it wasn't too badly damaged.

Do you mind me asking what exhaust system you have on the car as those tailpipes are not standard ? I'm still toying with a full capristo system but at £9k plus fitting its a couple of holidays the missus won't being going on next year.

That said surprisingly she has said she will come on a driving holiday through the passes and alps and down through the lakes in Italy. Would be so much better with a capristo on song

Had the exhaust and manifolds (not cats) fitted by longlife at Bridport 2.5K approx. The system they fitted does have the exhaust valves but they work in reverse. My car is going to longlife in Bristol on Thursday to have this corrected (new valves being fitted). Will report back how I get on

If you are looking at that then I'd say its probably worth giving Martyn at Infinity Exhausts a shout as he should be able to make you a custom exhaust for a fraction of that cost. It is unlikely to be valved (he doesn't think that those type of systems last well), but he can tune it to how you want it.

I've used him for a number of cars and he has done work for a good number of other PH'ers too.

Cool. I know capristo systems are the business but £9k is a lot of dosh ( even for a full system : cats, manifolds, heat shields, muffler,)

£2.5k is a lot more palateable. How much louder than stock is it and are there any performance gains ?

Capristo quote 40 bhp and 65NM more which is really impressive for a normally aspirated car that is already highly tuned

Well have now had the proper valves fitted all OK. Thinking of fitting a remote control for them so I can control the noise level when driving.
